Gears Tactics - Review

Last year developers The Coalition and Splash Damage created a new game in the Gears of War Series - Gears Tactics. Being a Gears of War fan since the early days I was naturally curious, the only thing that put me off was the turned based combat. Until now Gears of War has always been played out as a third person fast-paced shooter so the idea of changing gears so much (couldn't help it) seemed a little strange. All that being said I liked The Bureau: XCOM Declassified so why not Gears Tactics?

I love many types of chocolate and chocolate bars, one of my favourites being Kinder Bueno, especially the white ones. Naturally when I saw that Jacobs had something similar called Elite Special Moments Hazelnut Cream Wafers I thought they would be tasty. They look the same, smell the same but are vastly different. From the outside, it all seems good but once I bit into it and had the first taste I was not impressed. The chocolate had a weird consistency and there were bits in it that tasted more like sawdust rather than hazelnut. Playing Gears Tactics I found myself asking was more like a tasty Kinder Bueno or just a poor imitation?

Story

Gears Tactics is set after emergence day and over a decade before the original Gears of War. The game features a new character to the series, Ukkon, a Locust Scientist. Becoming more unstoppable as the days pass Chairman Prescott sanctions Sargent Diaz and Major Redburn to take him down with extreme prejudice and by any means necessary. A small way into the story you manage to recruit militia to your cause who also isn't a fan of Ukkon. Its hard to say much more without giving away spoilers, what I can say is things are much darker then they seem and some of the COG's deepest secrets are going to come to light but will anyone be alive to talk about them?

Overall the story is pretty good and helps expand Gears lore - and the story has a similar theme/feel as Gears 5 which was really cool. The characters are not massively memorable which is a shame but I get the impression there won't be a sequel.

Visuals

The visuals are very different from the rest of the Gears games but equally, they are very similar. The world is still in bad shape between the COG using the Hammer of Dawn to destroy most of their cities and the constant battles taking place. The big thing that has changed is the perspective, with it now being top-down rather than third-person. Similar to XCOM you get to see up close animations when carrying out actions; like cutting off an enemies head with a bayonet, using a chainsaw to cut them in half or watch a grenade decimating a group of enemies.  As the game introduces enemies (some of them never seen before) you get a really cool intro of them and what abilities they have.

Overall the visuals are pretty strong, the only thing that lets them down is that many of the levels are rehashed a number of times, not just inside missions but also main missions which gets boring over time especially with the games having a large number of missions.

Music

The feel of the soundtrack feels very removed from the rest of the series, it's more sci-fi, and doesn't use any of the classic gears music that remade and reinvented in other games. The soundtrack is composed by British based composer Edward Patrick White. White has a rather varied background having worked on an animated movie called Battlesuit, documentaries' All You Need Is Love and Nine Lives, along with creating some of the music for Bear Grylls TV series.

The soundtrack is less than an hour which seemed short for a game that takes around thirty hours to complete. My favourite tracks were; 'The Wrong Gear', 'Brumak' and 'Asshole Factory'. Overall as a  soundtrack, it is okay, as Gears soundtrack is the least memorable to date.

Gameplay

The gameplay moves from being a fast-paced third-person shooter to a top-down turn-based strategy game. The change is refreshing even if it a little jarring to start with. The team consists of four players (some missions are reduced down to two), each has a number of action points (AP). These can be used to move, attack or set up overwatch. The overwatch ability is one of the most useful in the game as it allows a character to cover an area and if any enemy walks into it then they get wounded or killed altogether.

What was really interesting is that each character has their own special abilities and can be upgraded and new ones earned as they gain experience points. Especially later in the game, you can end up having a great healer, and sniper, and you are going to need them. If you are unhappy with how you have used your experience points you can redistribute them.

There are main missions and side missions, side missions often entail holding an area for a set amount of moves, destroying an objective, rescuing prisoners in a limited number of moves, and collecting cases before being bombed into oblivion. The main missions are also similar to the side missions, when I say similar they are almost the same except for the boss fights. There are few slightly frustrating things with side missions, firstly you have to pay x amount of them before you can proceed with the main mission, making them feel less like side missions. There is also the oddity that if you use one of your main characters in a side mission they will then not be available to use in the main mission. This issue is a pain as it means you don't get to gain additional experience for those characters and then use them in the main mission, which seems bizarre. This means for side missions you have to use recruits that are never as strong. I learned much later on that if you fail all the side missions you can then just proceed with the main mission like normal, with no penalties. It seems strange to not allow your main characters to take part in side missions without sacrificing being able to use them in main missions (you know the time you actually want and need them).

Some missions can take around half an hour or less, others significantly more. An example of this would be the boss fights. The last boss was a giant pain in the ass and took me many, many attempts to beat it and even more hours. By the time I was done with it, I could not have been happier, not because of beating the boss (although that was part of it) but also to be finished with the game.

Overall the key mechanics in the game work really well, but some odd choices and repetition of maps really let them gameplay down.

Final Thoughts

So, after in excess of thirty hours how did I feel?  Glad the experience was over. The story adds new lore to the gears universe which was quite interesting, but the unmemorable main characters certainly took a little away from it. The visuals are strong, the addition of new enemies and animations are very welcome. The music is underwhelming, not just for a Gears soundtrack but even in general. The gameplay has some really strong mechanics that have clearly been borrowed from XCOM, sadly those some strange choices and level repetition stopped the game from being all it could be. Overall this one just about slides in with 3 out of 5

Gears of War Judgement - Review

Fresh off the back of completing Gears of War 3 myself and Nolls decided to play Gears of War Judgement, the fourth installment in the Gears of War series. I had only played it once before when it was first released so was excited to see how I felt about it the second time around, especially after playing Gears 5.

There are certain combinations of food in my opinion that go really well together. A classic for me is lasagna, chips and garlic bread.  It's a heavy meal and a lot to eat through, but I'm always up for the challenge. As I sit here with my slightly swollen stomach (okay it's very swollen) I find myself asking was it worth it? The answer is yes, every time.  Playing Gears of War Judgement I found myself asking was it the right combination of things and would I be left swollen or feeling sick?

Story

Gears of War Judgement is split into two campaigns; Judgement and Aftermath.  Judgment focuses on Kilo Squad, made up of a young Lieutenant Baird, Private Cole, and introducing Cadet Hendrik, and Private Paduk. Cadet Hendrik who is in training to be an Onyx Guard, Private Paduk who is from the Republic of Gorasnaya who doesn't like taking orders and has more than a few bones to pick with the COG.

The start of Judgment sees all members of Kilo Squad in handcuffs and each giving their testimonies.  Each character provides another piece of the story and the pieces combined show their journey to take down General Karn. Aftermath takes place during the latter half of Gears of War 3 when Baird and Cole are sent to find reinforcements.  They meet a not so happy Paduk and try to convince him for help.

Overall the story works really and it was interesting to see a younger Baird and Cole and the introduction of new characters Hendrik and Paduk.

Visuals

The visuals are a lot more vibrant and sharper than in the previous installments of Gears of War. Don't get me wrong the game still looks dark, but fire and the overall lighting effects stand out much more than before.

There are a number of missions that are outside during the day and these look really good especially in the Judgement campaign where there were still some buildings intact, and for a moment give the illusion of an abandoned world rather than a desolate one. The world feels more real than it has previously and can really see the impact war has had on it.

It's clear the visuals are starting the move towards a more vibrant look and not quite as dark and moody. Who said darkness had to look dark anyway?

Music

Part of what makes up the Gears Of War Universe is the music, dark, moody and very often intense. This sound is created by Steve Jablonsky, who along with creating the music of Gears of War has also created the sound for Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands and Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars.

The soundtrack is just under an hour but Jablonsky makes every minute count.  It is hands down the best Gears of War soundtrack to date. He managed to create both a new and familiar sound which really adds to the overall experience of the game.

This is one of these few times where I give top marks to the soundtrack.  Every track was perfect and worked so well. If a Lancer was pointed at my head and I had to pick one track that stood above the others I would have to say 'Jacked'.

Gameplay

While the core gameplay in Gears of War Judgement is similar to the others in the Gears of War series this one makes a few tweaks and changes along with throwing in an interesting curveball.

The weapons are reliable, sawed-off shotguns and retro Lancers feel a little inaccurate but they are supposed to be. Not since Gears of War 2 have I used my chainsaw so much, it makes me smile every time I revved it up.  I used the Retro Lancer a lot as well because even though it does not offer the best accuracy I really got into using the bayonet, and while awkward to use it is quite satisfying killing a locust with one.

The cover system continues to be solid for the most part but can glitch on occasion, this means you don't always slide into cover as smoothly as you may like. The cover feels a lot more temporary in many cases as similar to Gears of War 3 it is more destructible.

Gears of War 3 made you feel you were fighting for your very life, Gears of War Judgement does that same thing which creates an intense and satisfying experience.  In the Judgement campaign, there is a Star System for each section with a maximum of three stars to be gained.  It certainly pushes you not to be lazy and give it your all.  However, if you find this too easy you also have the option of adding a declassified mission to the mix, it can be anything from stronger enemies, little ammo, or there is a time limit.  While it is jarring to start with we got into the groove pretty quickly. The only downside is that they did not continue this with the Aftermath campaign.

Overall the gameplay is varied, offering more challenges, new enemies and a few new weapons too!

Final Thoughts

So, after ten hours how did we feel?  Pretty good.  The story was really good and fleshed out some of the characters. The visuals were a lot more vibrant and sharper and it will be interesting replaying Gears of War 4 to see how they compare.  The soundtrack is easily the best to date and certainly adds to the tension.  The gameplay is fairly solid with only a few minor hiccups.  This one gets a solid 4 out of 5

Gears 5 - Review

I have been a fan of Gears of War since the beginning so I feel compelled to play each and every one of them that has come out.  Gears of War 4 wasn't bad but definitely did not excite as much as the previous games in the series.  Perhaps this was due to Epic Games not being at the helm and instead Canadian based game's developer The Coalition taking the reins.  Naturally, I wanted to play Gears 5 but was slightly dubious, one day I thought to hell with it I'm just going to buy it and give it a go.

Oreos is something I have had a mixed relationship with.  Their normal cookies are a little dry but still tasty, the white chocolate covered ones are amazing! Then there are the new Oreo bites mixed with Cadbury's chocolate.  Initially, I was unsure but quickly I found myself really drawn to them and alas before long the bag was empty.  Playing Gears 5 I found myself asking what kind of relationship would I have it, would it be dry but manage to stay tasty or was it so it going to be my new addiction?

Story

Gears of War 4 saw the return of any long since dead and the world still very much in the process of being rebuilt.  In Gears 5 you get to see civilization like never before in New Ephyra.  The COG have grown strong again and their new city is definitely a testament to that.  The story heavily focuses on Kait, her mother, and her family. She won't be doing it alone though she will have JD, Del, Fahz, and Jack watching her back.  The story sees the all-powerful Hammer of Dawn brought online, however, this quickly goes bad. Shortly after this Kait leaves the group along with Del to try and find out who she really is and why she keeps getting visions. It seems that the Locust are back and this time they want to stick around.  Right, that's all you get, no spoilers!

Overall the story is amazing, I felt a real bond with all the characters and what happened to them mattered to me. The story starts a little slow but after that, it kicks into first gear and there is no stopping it.  One of the best Gears of War stories since Gears 2.

Visuals

The visuals are very different in Gears 5 and Gears of War 4, there is more color used in the game, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The series has always focused on darkness, which I have always really liked.  That being said I really like the new art direction, the visuals are more detailed than before and it very much feels a new world.  The enemies are more detailed, the armor you wear looks more impressive and is generally just pleasing to look at it.  I like the new art direction but only hope that Gears 6 (they are totally making another one) does not go the way of New Dawn which feels way too colorful.

Overall the visuals are very impressive and have helped create a very new feeling world which is the fresh coat of paint the series needed.

Music

I'm not going to beat around the bush, the soundtrack is amazing.  Each track has this underlying somber tone but in the foreground, it has a very 'keep fighting, keep pushing forward' feeling. Which suits the game perfectly as that is what the whole campaign is about.  The soundtrack was composed by the amazing Ramin Djawadi.  He has an impressive body of work and scored the soundtracks for; Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Game of Thrones, Person of Interest, Medal of Honor and Gears of War 4.

Listening to the soundtrack again I realized that I did not have a favorite track, I loved them all.  The soundtrack is probably one of the most impressive if not the most impressive in the Gears of War franchise. It worked so well and really hope Ramin Djawadi returns for Gears 6.

Gameplay

The gameplay, where do I even start?  Let's starts with weapons, they feel better, more accurate and overall more satisfying when using them.  In fact, I almost forgot to use the classic chainsaw attached to the Lancer as I was having fun trying the other weapons. Jack is back, your little robot friend, but this time he is badass.  He can be upgraded with components and modules, he has your back and is much a teammate as anyone else in the group.  He can attack enemies, heal the team and use a variety of special abilities. Not happy with how you have upgraded him? No problem, respec him without any penalties.

The cover system feels more dynamic, this time it does not just have small barricades but multilevel ones that are often very destructible so don't get too comfortable. It made the gameplay more challenging and forces you to engage with the environment more.

The enemies go from straight forward to bordering on brutal. A new addition is The Warden, super armored, can only be shot in the head and carries maces that will annihilate you if you are not too careful.  There are many more new enemies each looking to wipe you out.  The AI seems to adapt more than in previous games in the series meaning you have to be always focused and not get careless.

There is now an element of exploration to the game, you can use a skiff which basically a retro-looking jetski with a sail attached to it.  Exploring means more fights, but also more rewards which are pretty cool. I made sure to go everywhere I could just to see what might be on offer.

Similar to the other games in the series there are collectibles in the world including COG tags, documents, and history about the old and new world.

Overall the gameplay is awesome and while sometimes fights felt almost unwinnable a little bit of patience and tactics went a long way to beating certain sections of the game.

Final Thoughts

So, after twenty-five how did I feel?  Amazing!  The story was great and there was a real feeling of being part of a team rather than just lifeless AI.  The visual was new, different and exciting and brought a new element to the series.  The music was perfect!  The gameplay was challenging but a little work and you would be just fine.  I can't wait to play this in co-op with Nolls in the future, I think we will have a blast with it.  Overall this one gets a delectable and tasty 5 out of 5

Gears of War 4 - Review

Back in 2006 Epic Games released a new third person shooter called Gears of War, due to it's popularity it later went on to create a whole franchise.  The series had it's highs and it's lows but overall it was pretty good.  For me I feel the series peaked with Gears of War 2, it had a great story, the gameplay was much improved over the original and it introduced horde mode which was really awesome.  Gears of War 3 was okay but the story wasn't great and horde mode was not as much fun.  Gears of War Judgement was interesting but sometimes the gameplay felt a little unbalanaced especially on higher difficulty settings.  Naturally when Gears of War 4 was announced I wasn't exactly foaming at the mouth to play it.  I noticed it the other day in CEX for under €20 and thought let's give it ago, how bad could it be?

Calamari anyone?  The relationship I have with calamari is a difficult one, I don't love it but I don't hate it.  I like some seafood, I like things that are battered, combining the two just seems natural.  Strangely though each time I have had it I feel conflicted, never commiting to it fully, I should either like something or I shouldn't.  Playing Gears of War 4 I found myself asking was I loving it, hating it?

Story

The introduction is interesting and starts with a commemoration ceremony, you get to see flashbacks from before, during and after emergence day.  For those of you not familiar with series emergence day is when the enemy know as the locust popped out of the ground and started slaughtering everyone.  The war with the locust is long since over but that doesn't mean there aren't still battles being fought.  There are also people disappearing and nobody knows by who or where they have gone.

The protaganist is JD Fenix, son of Marcus Fenix from the original series.  He basically looks like a heavier set version of Nathan Drake but nowhere near as funny.  There is his punk rock, hipster girlfriend Kait and of course who could forget Del?  Yes, Del the third wheel that doesn't get many lines or much character development.

The story starts slows but does find it's feet,  well for a while anyway.  The pacing feels a little off, a lot happens in the last act that could have happened earlier in the game and the story feels a little drawn out especially considering the pay off.  To me it felt like just a set up for a new series, which annoys me because the focus should have been to get this game right before worrying about potential sequels.

Visuals

The last Gears of War game was released on the XBOX 360 so naturally it was a step up, Gears of War 4 looked good but it certainly wasn't amazing.  The game is as bloody and gorey as ever and was very much in keeping with the series, which I really liked.  The environments seemed to be a lot more detructible then in previous games which looked great along with creating some intersting gameplay.  I can't go into too much detail about the enemies (spoilers and all) but one I liked and can mention are the pouncers.  The name says it all, they pounce on you and you have to beat them in the head to get them off you.  They have both up close and personal attacks along with ranged ones which make them a formidable enemy.  One of my favorites areas was the mountain side retreat in Act 1, it was very picturesque and a scene not generally seen in the Gears of War series.

Music

Listening to the score again there is certainly a familiarity to it but at the same time it has a very different sound to the rest of the series.  There is the classic guitar riff that is played whenever you clear an area of all enemies, which is always nice to hear.  I felt the score itself had an underlining sound that felt like it was constantly building up to something which created a real air of intesity, it was something I quite enjoyed.  The creator of this familiar yet new sound was:

Ramin Djawadi who is an Iranian-German composer who has worked on many Films and TV Series and is best known for his work on Game of Thrones.  Some of his other works include; Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Person of Interest and Westworld.

If you have not had the chance to listen to Ramin Djawadi's work I would highly recommend heading over to Spotify and checking out some of his work.  Overall a really solid score with many short but great pieces, my favorites included; 'Anvil Gate', 'Taken', 'Night Terrors', 'Rise of the Swarm', 'Wind Flare' and 'The Storm'.

Gameplay

Onto the meat!  The first thing I noticed in the campaign menu was that there was an option called Ironman.  Unfortunately I could not play as Ironman, instead activating the option meant that if you die, even once you have to start the game from scratch.  Interesting but very punishing.  Horde Mode is back again, if you are curious about it all you have to do is play the main campaign which gives you the chance to try it out in a smaller way.

The controls are pretty much the same as the rest of the series which was good thing.  There were old and new weapons, some good and some...well bad, very bad.  Greats examples of this would be the Retro Lancer and Marzka MK1, both feel inaccruate and underpowered.  The classic Lancer was great and the only thing better than shooting a load of enemies is using your chainsaw to cut them into little bits.  The new buzzkill weapon was a lot of fun, basically it shoots out saw blades that can, if you are not careful rebound off the environement and end up hurting or killing you.

There are some fun new enemeies like robots and...well really I can't say more without spoiling the game for you (reading that would really want to make me play it).  There were certainly some interesting and fun moments in the game.  Riding a bike through a forest was both cool and nerve racking.  The new fabricator that allowed you to...well you get the idea from the name was interesting.  Later on in the the game there are sack like things which look like giant zits, which if you keep popping them the other characters give out to you which is the kind of dark humor that the series is know for.

The gameplay as a whole was fairly solid, with the exception of a few weapon issues and some enemies that were a little annoying.

Final Thoughts

After 10 hours of gameplay how did I feel?  Confused and uncertain.  There were moments in the game where I was fully engaged and could not wait for the next section but there were other times where I wished everything would just hurry along.  The story has interesting parts to it but as a whole it was not fantastic, especially if you take away Marcus.  The visuals were good but not amazing, the music was really good.  The gameplay itself was pretty good but felt a little lacking in some places.  Will I play Gears of War 5 when it is released?  Probably, but I know I won't be rushing out to get it either. Overall Gears of War 4 gets a rocky 3 out of 5

360° of Awesome

For me next to the Sega Mega Drive the XBOX 360 had the biggest impact on my life.  Not only was it because my wife bought me this console which was not only really sweet but proved once again how awesome she is but also because graphically & gameplay wise everything became bigger & better.

To keep a little continuity with the rest of the blog so far I will select three games that really stood out to me.  It should be noted these are not necessarily my favorite games but they are titles that had a great impact on me.

The first time I saw this game was on day one the XBOX 360 was launched, I was visiting my brother in law & he had just bought it.  I was blown away from the first moment I laid eyes on it for so many reasons & any chance I got to steal the controller away from him & walk around the world I did.

The story starts with you trapped in a prison confined to a small dank cell that just feels grim even by prison standards. The Emperor visits you, I say visit I mean he is more fleeing for his life along with his body guards & your cell just happens to have a hidden escape route built into it.  Spoiler alert you go along with him into the sewers & it does not work out great.  The emperor knowing he is screwed gives you the Amulet of Kings & commands you to take it to Jauffre. I am not going to spoil anything else but that is the start of the main story which is really good.

Being honest I really like the main story but I really love all the different guild story lines. It is hard for me to even pick my favorite but gun to my head probably the Assassins Guild, I don't want to give anything away but it's a good one.

The music in the game helps create a fantastic, living, breathing world. For example when I am walking around in the city on a nice day it feels almost peaceful & like you don't have a care in the world.  When you are outside the city you feel exposed like at any moment you may be attacked & killed & your thankful for every moment you are still alive.

Graphically the game is stunning with rich environments & varied climates, the inside of buildings look just as good & are populated with many items & a crazy amount of readable books.  The only thing that lets the game down visually are the more human faces in the game that look really ugly & harsh especially compared with the other races.

I loved the combat; especially when using a sword & shield, fighting an enemy really feels like a battle. Timing your attacks & blocks is key to success when taking on enemies. Then you have magic which could be quiet good but I felt there were sometimes too many spells & a few that were just not very useful.

The game as a whole is fantastic & while there are flaws in it they are negligible beside all the greatness the game has to offer.  I have pumped 100's of hours into Oblivion & I know I will put in many more hours.  The world is so big I did not even touch on a fraction of what it has to offer, I can't recommend you play Oblivion enough.

This is a game that I only played in the last two years even though it came out in 2011. I can't believe I missed it because it is a really fantastic game.  I sunk a lot of hours into it & found it & found it hard to put down - even now I am thinking about going down stairs turning on my 360 & playing it.

You play as Nier, a father desperately searching for a cure to a disease called the Black Scrawl to help you daughter Yonah.  On your quest to find a cure you come across a talking book, you might say he is an audio book....what? That's funny. Your new friend, Grimoire Weiss suggests working together to help find a cure to save your daughter.  The story starts simple but branches out into something amazing & imaginative.

The music balances between being very peaceful & relaxed to epic & fast paced.  This works really well in the game & helps put more emphasis on tough battles & boss fights, it also reminds you to relax when you can.  I ran around for hours listening to the same tracks play over & over again & never got bored of them.

While graphically it is not as sharp as other games out at the same time it looks amazing all the same. I really like the character designs especially all the details in their outfits & weapons.  I love the rural & sometimes beaten up looking areas that really help create a beautiful world.

The gameplay itself is really fun but at the start can feel a little tough as you are quite weak & your magic is not very strong.  As the game progresses you get stronger & really feel the difference when facing enemies.  For me some of the most fun I had was completing side missions especially the fishing ones, in the beginning it can my a little fiddly but later on you just really want to catch every type of fish there is.

Overall an excellent game, with a memorable sounds track & many great characters - well worth your time.

I really enjoyed the original but for me Gears of War 2 surpassed the first in every way.  Better cover system, graphics, gameplay & story.  For me it did everything a good sequel should do & more, one of favorite additions was Horde Mode.  My wife & I spent so many nights killing legions of Locusts & trying not to get cornered by one of those little exploding guys - which was almost an instant death if you did not kill him quick enough.

The game is set a few months after the Lightmass Bomb was detonated under ground & killed a ton of the locusts. However in the wake of this the liquid imulsion was vaporised & caused a new fun disease named Rustlung.  With resources tight & the humans running out of options they decide to invade the locust stronghold & destroy them.  Spoiler alert, it turns out it won't be that easy!

I love the music in the game, it moves from grim despair to feeling like you are just about to be chain sawed into bloody chunks. Because of this the game never really lets you relax or have a breather which helps create some intense gameplay.

Graphically it looks amazing & has more varied locations than the original.  One of my favorite areas is when you are driving over a frozen lake being attacked & trying not to fall into holes being opened up by the enemy.  I am not going to spoil it by saying any more, I will simply say it is awesome!

The gameplay is fast, furious & never really lets up on you.  The constant pressure makes the game addictive & even when you get killed it just makes you thirsty for more. I love the improved cover system & this time if you get knocked down your AI allies will try to pick you up rather than leaving you on the ground bleeding out. Dom, Baird & Cole really feel like part of your team & when they get dropped you always want to rush over & help them. The enemies are varied; some of them are like bullet sponges & others can be kicked or chain sawed - personally the lancer chainsaw is my favorite weapon to kill enemies.

How can I sum this game up? It's a fun violent fueled game filled with guns, guts & a lot of heart.  If you like tough battles, chain saws & team work this game is for you.

It's over again & was far too short, as mentioned at the start of the post I could almost give over an entire blog just to talk about the awesomeness that is this console. As I always do I leave you with a list of suggested titles that are well worth checking out:
